Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) Study Centre

A Study Centre (3702) for distance mode of education, affiliated to IGNOU, Delhi was established in the college in the year 2003. To start with, it had enrolled a few learners and only selected courses were activated. At present, the Study Centre has progressed to the level of a strength of more than five hundred learners. The Study Centre has a separate well-furnished block. IGNOU staff includes a coordinator, an assistant co-ordinator, two office assistants, two attendants and the academic staff of more than one hundred counsellors, duly appointed by IGNOU, Delhi. A number of Certificate Diploma, PG Diploma, Degree and Post Graduate Courses are activated at the Centre. IGNOU has three programme centres at Saharanpur for the counselling of specific courses, such as SIM for BCA and MCA; J.V.Jain College for B.Ed., M.Ed., and M.A. (Education) and National Community Medical College for various medical certificates and diploma programmes. However, the theory examinations of these programme centres are conducted by our Study Centre. The entrance examination for B.Ed. is conducted once a year only in the month of August, while open MET, entrance examination for MBA is conducted twice a year in the month of Feb and Aug. The information regarding eligibility, duration, fee structure and medium of various courses may be obtained from the Study Centre during working hours, except on Mondays, and is also available on IGNOU’s official website.
