We have been successfully running a Career Counselling Cell since 1995 in the college. In accordance with the guidelines of UGC, it has been upgraded in the year 2008 as a Resource Centre for providing guidance and counselling to the students regarding various traditional and Job-oriented courses, different kinds of pre-admission and competitive examinations, available job-opportunities, current market trends and employability in public and private sectors. Besides above guidance, the objective of the Cell is to work as a platform of support-service for the students in developing their soft skills, communication ability and personality development, and confidence to perform better, so that they may face the challenge and rigours of competitive examinations and on-job-training in add-on or vocational courses comfortably and without any stress. For achieving its objectives the Career Counselling Cell conducts seminars and workshops from time to time and Resource Persons are invited to deliver lectures and impart one- on-one guidance and counselling to the students.
The Centre remains open for two hours daily, and is well-equipped with computers, photo-copier, internet facility and sufficient reading material, e.g. competitive examination books, text books, model papers, magazines, newspapers etc., for providing information regarding various career opportunities. The newspaper cuttings, advertisements about job-opportunities and information brochures of different institutes are pasted on the notice board from time to time to apprise the students of various admission and job prospects.
Dr. Durgesh Raj is the Director/Coordinator.
